Kenwood KA-701 photos.

Right now I'm listening to the Allman Brothers (Stormy Monday, Fillmore East) with this amp driving the Infinity Quantum Jrs, and I couldn't be happier.

Note the front to back shafts on the left and right. They allow source selection, tape source and speaker switching to happen at the back of the amp, minimizing the length of critical signal paths. Elegant.

I'm not saying that I haven't seen this before, but it's cool to see it here.

I have the KA-801 with the KT-815 matching tuner. Very nice amplifiers. You have a very good site, good hobby. I am a big audiophile too!

Hello, I am looking into this amplifier on CL. The guy is asking $30 for it. He claims that everything is in working conditions. The downside though are that the tips of the switches are broken off. The switches themselves work though and can be flicked on and off. Is it worth the buy?

So I decided to go with the purchase and after a bit of dusting off, deoxit on the pots, setting the DC offset & bias current, this thing sounds like a beauty! Clean, balanced sound.

I just got a Trio KA-9300. It's similar to a Kenwood Model 600. It is dual mono with two massive toroidal transformers, the model 600 doesn't have toroidals. It sounds and looks beautiful. So much detail, but not at all sterile. I think my search is over for a great integrated amp is over!
