I rebuilt 3 corners, sanded, oiled, touched up, painted the backs, redid the grills, repainted the badges, and now they look almost as good as they sound.

Wow... Fantastic!!!
Very possibly my all time favourite speakers, great work!
Hello,
These look great; what method do you use for rebuilding corners? Have you ever tried veneering a cabinet that was previously finished in vinyl? It looks like you have a lot of success restoring speakers to their original appearance (or better), so I hope you don't mind the questions.

I own a pair of DM2's identical to these which are in very good order (just a minor knock to the bottom left corner of one of the cabinets prevents them from being perfect cosmetically). I have had the chance to pitch them against some very desirable speakers from other manufacturers of the period as well as a few more modern designs and so far nothing has come close to the remarkable transparency these speakers are capable of conveying. I've owned my DM2's for three years and they are definitely keepers.
